Ascend over steep mountain slopes and rough, untouched natural landscapes until you reach the summit, take a breath and with every step you get further away from your everyday life – feel your heartbeat when you look at the horizon and know that you’ve arrived. This feeling of leisure time and vitality is awaiting all hikers on the summits of Glemmtal.
On varied paths along the ridges during the long-distance hikes, such as “Saalachtal High Altitude Path” or “Pinzgau Walk”, you will be able to experience, step by step, breathtaking views over the snow-covered summit of the Hohe Tauern and the rocky formations of the Limestone Alps.
Further alpine highlights are the tours on Tristkogel or Spielberghorn. These tours lead you to rougher terrains, which require stamina as well as alpine experience. Cross-border hikes such as the hike over the Sonnspitze to Kitzbühel takes hikers away from their everyday lives.
Seven Summits of Saalbach
A very special challenge is waiting for surefooted and experienced hikers with good stamina: The “Seven Summits of Saalbach Hinterglemm”. This tour is almost 24 kilometres long and leads you over Glemmtal’s highest summits; with alpine characteristics and a massive altitude of 2,000m this tour is only for hardboiled individualists and physically fit alpinists.
